Other Devices: Multimedia Controller

Dimension 8250

Dimension 8250

1. I need to know how to install the correct drivers for my modem.

2. I need to know how to correct the Other Objects: Multimedia Controller.

The 5th hard drive replacement arrived a few days ago, and after formatting and installing all the CD's that came with the Dimension 8250 system (no CD for the modem), I found that the driver for the Multimedia Controller was missing. I d/l the drivers for the modem that I "thought" was the correct one, but could no longer use my dial-up connection because it detected it as a broadband modem. It also did not remove the Other Objects: Multimedia Controller. I did a system restore which did fix the dial-up problem, but still need the correct drivers.

Device Manager shows Properties for Multimedia Controller as: Location: PCI Slot 1 (PCI bus 3, device 6, function 0)

Device Status: The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28).

Device Manager shows Properties for Modem as:

Location: PCI Slot 2 (PCI bus 2, device 8, function 0)

This is what is now listed under Phone and Modem/Modem/Properties:

Conexant HSF V92 56K RTAD Speakerphone PCI Modem

File Version: 11.06.02

HARDWARE ID PCI\VEN_14F&DEV_2016&SUBSYS_021913E0&REV_01

Drivers listed: dell0219.cty

HSF_CNXT.SYS

HSF_DP.SYS

HSFHWBS2.SYS

MDMXSDK.SYS

MODEM.SYS

HSFCI005.DLL

MDMXDK.DLL

This is what is listed on my invoice:

Modem, V.92, Internal, Data/Fax/Voice, SOFT, Zinc, Dimension

Thank you for any suggestions.
