PCI Modem Driver, long story

ok, so, last week, hard drive fails and its under warranty, so dell sends me a new one...

i get new CD's as well due to the others being lost by family members shuffling CDs etc..

annnd, they dont make the drivers i need for my PCI modem, Ethernet Controller, Multimedia Audio, Network controller, or Video Controller (as displayed on the device manager)

i reinstall windows and get the above...  when i had called dell about the warranty they had warned me about this and said "just go get the drivers off the website"... one problem! my wireless connection wont work and i tried plugging in the hardline to this computer to it, and waddya know, no IP address and im honestly lost on how to assign one (its's been over a year since i've even looked at anything concerning an IP)

all im realy askign here is... either how to assign an ip addy (if i can without those drivers), how i can connect thru my wireless (dell i might add) modem, if i could ever get my wireless card to work, and lastly, all the above combined into how can i connect to the internet? =)
thanks all!

Edit:: Windows Xp, Inspiron 8600, and i have the invoice if anything on there (partwise) is needed to be mentioned for help::

I just did the same thing to my Dell 8600. What I had to do is use my other computer (or borrow the use of someone else's) and go to the Dell websight, and find the list of Inspiron 8600 drivers. I then downloaded them, SAVING THEM TO A FOLDER. This is important. Make sure your download preferences are set to save. Then, I burned a CD with the drivers (.exe) and copied them from the CD to a folder on the Inspiron 8600. Once on the 8600, I opened them which initiated them running, and installing the drivers. This in turn, showed the pop-up message notifying me new hardware was found, and installed and working. Hope this helps. I am still trying to figure out which driver is needed for Ethernet Control and Network controller. If you figure those out, please let me know. Thanks.

Here are the ones I used for the following hardware:
R58370.exe Chip Set Intel Mobile Cip set
R106669.exe ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 graphics (you may need a
different one, depending on what graphics card you have)
R58028.exe Broadcom v.92 MCD Modem driver (I tried this one
first, just because it was first on the list; if it is the
correct one, the hardware will become functional. If it is
not,it won't hurt your system, but the modem won't work. Just
keep trying different ones. Document yourself with what you
have done, and are trying)
R90698.exe Audio Sigmatel Stac 9750 AC97 driver (audio)

I am having the same trouble. If you figure out which driver is needed for the wireless and the ethernet please let me know. I have had no luck in my search. So much for quality customer support.

Anyone who is shopping for a laptop steer clear of the 8600.
