Port Replicator
Problem: About every 20 minutes, internet connection is dropped running off of a hardwire to a switch. The connection itself is enforced by a Port Replicator, New patch cable running from the PR to the wall, a new drop from the wall to the punch panel, and another new Patch COrd running from the panel to the switch (which 3 ports have been tried to rule out the possibilities that it is the switch).
As far as the Laptop is concerned, I have forced the card to connect at 100Mbps, turned off the power management in the control panel, reloaded the hardware profile, updated the bios, reloaded the drivers.
The OS install is a dell Default...nothing has been changed to hide the guilty. :)
Any ideas? I feel like I am overlooking something BASIC. I Have tried a direct connect using the onboard LAN on the laptop and it works fine.

*VERY* good point. See -- this is the kind of stuff that is sometimes the most overlooked thing. TY...I just had the problem again too...but prior to reading this. :( Now I get to wait another 20 mins.
Thanks NemesisDB!
