Port forwarding
Hi there,
I'm trying to forward my router so that other people can connect to my apache webserver. So far i haven't done anything because i know i would screw everything up. Anyhow, could somebody explain me how to forward my ports so that apache works for people out in the world?
I've got a dynamic ip and a D-Link wireless router.
Should i configure the ports in my Netopia router and then in the D-Link?

this is how i've port forwarded so i can host games as a server
my isp ip is dynamic and my router is set to DCHP no server "disabled" with static ips to my ip from my router eg 10.1.1.#
go into d-link web interface and if you see a virtual server click it..
you will need to know the ports and protocol eg tcp and you can enter them in and then select your pc ip to forward them too
have a look here
http://www.google.co.nz/search?hl=en&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=port+forward+apache+web+server+d-link+router&spell=1
you will need to reboot the router for the changes to be enabled... it should also save your port forward settings so you can enable-disable without entering in ports each time

But how come it doesn't work? Look at the steps:
step 1, nextgentel router:

step 2, change public servers:
http://anigma.sitees.com/change.jpg
step 3, NAT configuration:

step 4, d-link configuration:

Is there maybie something wrong with the name i use in my d-link? Maybie it's not Apache2, but something else?
I searched for port forwarding in d-link and found this,
http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Dlink/DI-614+/Apache.htm
and
http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Dlink/DI-614+/Apache.htm
Wich one should i use?
