Problem acquiring IP address

Question

My wireless internet on my Inspirion e1505 won't connect anymore. My computer is a year old and the wireless internet has been fine up until a week ago. I left my computer with the internet on and when I came back, the internet was disconnected and I haven't been able to connect since then. I have a Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-Card and I use a netgear router. My netgear network has full signal on my computer, and I can get it to start connecting, but the connection always fails while the network is trying to acquire the IP address. I've already tried re-installing my netgear, and nothing has changed. Does anyone know what could be causing the problem with my IP address?

Why does that driver update say 'for outside US'. Is there a US version? Yes, I installed the driver update for my card and I still can't get past the 'Acquiring IP address' status when my wireless is connecting. It just says acquiring IP address for 1-2 minutes and then my wireless icon in the taskbar gets a red x on it showing that the connection failed.

Have you power cycled your network? Turn everything off.(Computer, router, cable modem) > wait 5 mins. > power on cable modem > wait 2 mins. > power on router > wait another 2 mins. > power on computer. See if that fixes it?
