Problem connecting new DELL's to VPN (Negotiating IPSEC)

Using a Netcomm VPN Client and the new DELL's Laptops and Desktops simply wont establish a connection.  Whereas non DELL's or DELL's which have been reinstalled without all the DELL Crud are connecting no prob.

Does anyone know what is bundled with the DELL that is blocking this action from happening. I have had a quick look at existing posts and no-one else appears to be having this problem?

Cheers in advance

Well if anyone else is interested:

Used DELL Restore to take Notebook back to original install config, Installed dial up connection, installed Netcomm VPN Client and it worked.  Uninstalled Google Desktop and it no longer works.

Something in the way the software has been bundled together is blocking a port or something when these pieces of software are removed from the system.

After many hours and no help from DELL (advised installed from CD instead of Restore, which we shouldn't have too) we found another VPN Client which has more configuration options and a log file.  It works, so we will have to fork out money to buy it because DELL Bundled Software Installation stuffs the system config when you cleam up the crud.

Anyway, case closed. Maybe this will help someone else out there.

Cheers :womanhappy:

Could be blocked by 3rd party firewall software, Mcafee, Norton?

Thanks, but bundled McAfee Uninstalled and ZoneAlarm disabled during troubleshooting and Windows Firewall turned off.  SO not the firewall.

Any other ideas, any similar problems?

Cheers
