Problem networking Virgin Broadband on a Netgear DG834GT router

Hi, I know this isn't much about Dell but i;m on a dell now, and no where else is helping! We used to have plus net broadband but switched to Virgin a few days ago due to plus net being . On our router we have to configure it, neither negear nor virgin seem to be able to help. I wanted to attach a screenshot but didn't know how, I need to put in my log in and password, idle timeout, internet IP address, DNS address, and if NAT is enabled or disabled. There is also ADSL settings which has Multiplexing Method, VPI values and VCI values. I can also choose whether the "Encapsulation" is PPPoA (PPP over ATM) or PPPoA (PPP over ethernet) I have tried several times with this but to no avail, I can get the internet on one computer if plugged into the virgin modem, but not when the virgin modem is plugged into the router, I was unsure if username should have @virgin or @blueyonder or something as Plusnet used to have @Plusdsl.net. Sorry if this is confusing but I'm desperate, plus net gets shut off in a few days and then I will only be able to access the internet plugged into their modem, and when there are 2 people do buissness work and 2 doing school work it will be very hard! Thanks for any help!

It seems to me that Virgin should be able to answer all of these questions because most of the settings will depend on what Virgin requires.

You say you can get online when one system is connected to the virgin modem. When you try to plug in the router did you turn off the virgin modem for 5+ min (it may take as many as 20 min sometimes) and since you are doing VoIP there might be a reset button also. The reason you'd want to do this is because the virgin modem will capture the MAC address of the Ethernet port of the system that you attach and if you switch devices the modem will not know the change occurred because it has the MAC address of the previous device. To clear this out you must turn the virgin modem off or reset it then connect the router. If you still have problems then you need to call Virgin and ask them if the lock the MAC address.

Well that'll do it. Glad to know you got it fixed.
