Problem with an agere CF wireless Lan Card and an Axim X5 PDA
I bought this Agere CF wireless LAN card and installed the drivers for WM2003 on my PDA. However, I cannot seem to enable the card although it is listed on my PDA.
In my programs I can see something called Agere Client and when I open that it says driver not loaded.
When I go to settings/connections/wireless ethernet I can see the Agere Wireless Network Driver(h1) listed but I cannot find a way tio get it to work with the CF card. When I place the CF card into the slot it says unrecognised card and it comes up Network Card in Socket 1 and asks me to enter the name of the device driver for this card. If I write in Agere Wireless Network Driver it doesn't seem to make any difference.
Can anyone help me to get this thing working? The Model of the Agere CF card is CF-B-AG-01.

Did you ever resolve this? I have essentially the same problem with my wifi on the Axim. I have the Dell 1180 card, which I understand is made my agere. Agere's site is no longer there and there doesn't seem to be any helpful support for this card.

Unfortunately no. I never resolved this. So if anyone can, great.!!! I now have the Axim X5 and I have the agere wireless adapter and a Linksys wireless adapter, and none of the work consistently or even a little bit in relation to connecting to the internet. No matter what drivers I have tried.
