Dandee_23,

Can you give me the make and model or your computer and you have Windows 7. 32-bit or 64-bit?

What virus program did you remove?

I do not see your any adapter listed in the ipconfig /all log except a Bluetooth adapter.

Did you recently install/reinstall the operating system?

Rick,

This is a Inspiron N5010

OS is microsoft

BIOS Dell Inc a10 11/17/2010

I removed ad-aware version 10. Which a whole lot of people are having a problem with but none of their solutions helped me, regrettably.

I have not installed/re-installed the OS

It says I have a Broadcom Virtual Wireless Adapter.  Is this bluetooth? I sincerely have no idea.

and then the DW1501 wireless-N WLAN half-mini card

Perhaps the drivers were wiped out?

Thank You for all your help Rick!

Dandee_23,

Hopefully Ad-Aware has been completely uninstalled. I didn't think that Ad-Aware is virus protection. Are you using any other virus program and what firewall are you using?

The Dell Wireless 1501 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card works on the 2.4GHz band ONLY and does NOT have Bluetooth.

Download the proper drivers below and save them to your desktop.

Dell Wireless 1501 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card Windows 7 drivers

Dell Wireless WLAN 1501 Half Mini-Card (4313bgn) Vista drivers

Make a system restore point.

Start, control panel, device manager, network, right click on Dell Wireless 1501 Wireless-N Half-Mini Card, left click uninstall. Tell it to remove the drivers and software for the adapter.

Restart your computer. When you log back in, the new hardware wizard will try to install the adapter. It may or may not work. If the adapter does not install, the n use the drivers on the desktop to install the adapter.
