Proxy server issues

Question

I'm having a problem getting into a message board that I moderate...and to a couple of others that are hosted by the same site.  I've an Inspiron 6000, as does my husband...and he can log into those boards just fine.   However, when I try to log on, I get this:   The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server. The proxy server could not handle the request GET /bwouldyoulikefrieswiththat. Reason: Error reading from remote server I already contacted my ISP, and the site...and both confirm that their equipment is working properly.  I've pinged and had someone else ping my computer...and confirm that it's working properly.  I think there is a path or file somewhere that's corrupted, but not sure where to even start looking.  I already checked the proxy settings, and my network settings. Anyone have any other ideas?
