Ram Disk Error

Hi,

I am trying to use the GX280's in a training environment for MS IPTV.  I have installed Windows 2003 Enterprise and I want to use ADS to reimage the drives after training.  I am in need of a hotfix and was wondering if anyone has this hotfix.

I am using ADS 1.1 in a Windows 2003 SP1 environment.  The error message I get when I try to boot into DA is

"Windows could not start due to an error while booting the RAMDISK. Windows failed to build a bootable RAMDISK image. System will reboot in 5 seconds"

The hotfix article is KB899495 or KB899343.

Any workarounds or can someone get the hotfix for me?

Thanks

Brad

Hi,

I am aware of the article and response you are speaking of.  This will be fixed in an upcoming service pack.  I just did not know if anyone had received the file Osloader.ntd.  That is all.  I am not trying to be a problem.  After all, this is a known bug and it is my contention that we sould not have to pay for bug fixes!

This is not a Dell issue nor a Dell support issue. This is a $$$$$PAY$$$$$ microsoft for support issue.

WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use the original release version of Windows Server 2003 media to install ADS 1.0

Dell is not asking you to pay Dell for bug fixes in Microsoft Products.

This is a DELL forum not a Microsoft Support forum.
