Remote Desktop

I have 2 computers on my home network. Is there a way I can use remote desktop to connect to either of them? I configured my router and am able to connect to one of my desktops but how can I connect to my other desktop because my router is configured to connect to one computer.

Likely - The limitations of NAT prevent your being able to do that directly. There is another option though:

Option 1)
1) Login to the first computer through the router as you usually do.
2) From the first computer, login to the second.

Option 2)
1) Setup a VPN server on one of the machines.
2) Connect to the VPN from the remote location.
3) Connect to either desktop using its native, internal address.

Of course you can. Set up the remote desktop connection. It should work flawlessly. I use RDP for all of my computers. I can connect via LAN and WAN with no problems. I am using the Microsot MN-700 and there are no issues what so ever.

To remotely connect to another computer, use RealVNC. It is a free program that can do this. I believe the url is www.realvnc.com

Have you enabled the mahcine in question to receive Remote Assistance?  If not, you are not going to connect.

There is a port that needs to be forwarded in your router if you plan on hitting from the outside and that machines must have a static IP Address on your LAN.  RDC is great, works like a charm.  PC Anywhere is a joke and a security risk.

How do you configure your router?  I have a TM1180...
