Remote Shutdown on windows xp

Hi All, I have a small home network, im trying to use the shutdown command on my desktop to shutdown my laptop. I use
shutdown -r -m //192.168.1.2 After I press enter I get an error (Access Denied). I am the adminstrator, I have file and print sharing enabled. I just dont know what is wrong? Any help from the networking gods out their? I have set the username and password that I log into the laptop in the user accts on the desktop and vise versa. Example When I log into the desktop it comes up with my log in name already their "Plourdes" all I have to do is type in my password. I have that acct also in my laptop under user accts as well. Bolth have admin privlages. The funny thing is when I goto the run command and type in the ip address for eather computers I get the password box and guset acct is their and grayed out. I can not select my other accts! I have the guest acct turned off on both machines..

it only works for windows xp and 2000 as far as i know but here is what you have to do..

1. click run, then type CMD press enter

2.type shutdown -r -m \\192,168.2.13

3 Press enter. That should do it!

Let me know ok :)
