Did you try rolling back the driver to the previous version?
Did you try System Restore?
I have had many issues with people intalling drivers using Windows Updates. Microsoft either offers the wrong drivers and/or they get installed wrong, causing many devices to fail.

Did you try rolling back the driver to the previous version?
