Sharing a printer using a 2300 router???
Have a Dell 4600 with XP HOME and a epson printer wired to it and a 2300 router for a dsl internet connection. Now want to share the epson printer wirelesslly with our 1100 laptop that also uses the same 2300 router for it's internet connection. Can we do it and how ???without purchasing a wireless quizmo for the printer??? somehow use the 2300 to get the 1100 to the 2300 to the 4600 and then to the epson???THANKS

On the 4600, go to Start > Printers and FAXES and right click on your printer. In the drop down menu, select Sharing. Then select "Share this Printer" and give it a name. (This assumes that File and Printer Sharing have already been installed in Network Properties). Then, on the laptop, give it time to connect to the network and see if Windows finds the printer and it shows up in Start > Printers and FAXES (I have XP Pro and all network printers so far have shown up automatically). If the printer doesn't show up, you will have to install the printer on the laptop, making sure to tell the printer setup wizard that the printer is a network printer.
