System cannot log you on now because the domain DOMAIN is not available
I have a Latitude D610 running W2K pro, that I am able to login to, however, if a new user who does have access to our domain tries to login, he gets a msg: System cannot log you on now because the domain Company is not available. I was thinking there might be an admin issue, however we had an employee who had logged into the laptop, not an adim user, who can still login. So basically anybody new who tries to login gets the error msg above. I have selected the extra options to show the correct domain and not the local computer. I tried to put the domain/username and that does not work. I am not sure what the issue is. I tried connecting both with the wireless and data cable.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Serge

Several issues can be involved:
Either the users being denied access are not listed in the AD or the object has been changed;
The machine is not listed in the AD or the object has been changed;
Or, either of the above have been disabled in AD, or the network cable is unplugged.
The last resort would be to delete the account(s) and re-enter them in AD, This would have to be doen by your SYS Admin. They are really nice guys.
