Trouble with wifi
Hi guys, a few days ago I started having trouble with my wifi. I have a Dell Vostro 1540, Windows 7 OS 64 bit. I reinstalled the operating system, then installed the system software, chipset, and then tried to install Network drivers. Two of the five drivers (atheros) wouldn't install and kept saying, "The Device may not be present or could have been ejected/unplugged. Insert or Reinsert now." I checked the wifi switch and it is on. Also, under device manager, the PCI Simple Communications Controller has a yellow triangle with an exclamation point. I have no idea what's going on. Any help appreciated.

Hello sir,
I own a Dell Inspiron 1545 and still having troubles regarding the installation order for the following drivers. I cannot get to install my wireless driver and error still says The device may not be present or could have been ejected/unplugged from the system. Can you at least send me the correct order of the file names that i need to install to restore my laptop to its original state.
Thank you so much and God Bless.

AresDeang,
When you reinstalled the operating system, did you install the Desktop/Notebook system software(if applicable) and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order
Start with the Desktop/Notebook system software and the chipset drivers and follow the list.

PudgyOne@work,
I did. I formatted the laptop and tried to follow the instructions on the link provided above a couple of times already before posting my message regarding my concern. Still, i was unable to install the wireless drivers for my device. Still tried to search the internet for other solutions but it always fails. when i tried installing Windows 7 OS, I've got no problems on the divers for the wireless device so i know that my wireless device is still working. But when i try to use the original windows vista home premium OS, i cannot install the drivers for my wireless device.
Thanks.

ticassis,
I am not sure if Dell-Elijah works for Dell, have not heard from him in a while.
