Unable to Enable my Broadcom Wireless Network Adapter

I have a Vostro 200 Vista PC with a Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter.  My problems is that sometime ago the wireless stopped working.  Just says not connected and I have to use my LAN to connect to internet.

I have uninstalled the Broadcom adapter in Device Manager even though it shows that it is working OK. Rebooted PC and let it reinstall.  In device manager it shows as enabled but if I go to Manage Network Connections it shows the Wireless Network Connection as disabled.  If i then right click and select Enable. It goes through the process of enabling but stays Disabled.

I have had a look in BIOS but can't see anything regarding wireless.

I would really appreciate some advice on how to enable my wireless adapter.
