Unable to WIFI connect to internet using Intel PROSet/Wireless on my XPS M140
Opening the Intel PROset/EWireless screen, I get a list of local hotspots but am unable to connect the open ones. I get this error message: "Another wireless network utility is communicating with the Intel PROSet/Wireless adapter. To avoid conflicts Intel's profile management features have been temporarily disabled."

That sounds like the windows wireless zero service is also running. To check this try this
Start>run> type services.msc
In the services box scroll down to the window wireless zero listing. Double click on the line and look at the settings in the box that pops up if its running click the stop button. You can also set the service to manual mode there too.
