Vista laptop, local only access

Question

I have a Vista laptop, an XP desktop and a Win7 laptop.  All connected thru a Linksys E2000, been working trouble-free for many months now.  Suddenly the Vista laptop can only get a local connection, no internet unless I wire it directly into the router. At first I was getting a message about needing internet access server drivers.  I did the Windows updates, and I downloaded the recommended network drivers from the Dell website.  I'm no longer getting the internet access server drivers message.  Now I get 'cannot communicate with primary dns server'.  So I did an ipconfig /flushdns.  Did not fix it.  What else should I look at or try?

Try...

Start, control panel, network and sharing center. Click on your network, properties. Look for TCP/IPv4 and TCP/IPv6 and click on properties. Make your setting look like mine...

Thank you!  The DNS server setting had somehow gotten changed from automatic.  I changed it back and problem solved!
