Hi,

The system is designed and tested with Windows Vista. The direct drivers for Windows 7 might not be available on the support site. However the drivers should work with Windows 7 32 bit Operating System.

Please update the drivers for the laptop from the links below.

Chipset: http://dell.to/OZvZIO

Network:  http://dell.to/TZOhf7

Wireless: http://dell.to/OeFDwn

  1. Click the above mentioned link. (One link at a time in the same order).
  2. Click Download File and save the file to the desktop.
  3. Double-Click the downloaded file and click “Run”.
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.

Restart the computer for the changes to take effect.

Please check in the Device Manager if the driver is correctly installed for the devices and try connecting to the internet.

Please reply if you need further help.

While attempting to install the second file it said that the wizard had failed and it was not installed.

Wizard was interrupted before broadcom gigabyte integrated controller could be completely installed. No changes have been made. Please try at another time.

I tried it again and got the same error.

Any suggestions?

cscamgrl,

Dell System Software, then the chipset drivers and follow the list. Because the motherboard was replaced, they need to communicate, again. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order

It is not needed on your model. You can find out which network card you have by checking the Hardware Device Manager. You have at least 2 network connections--the Broadband is for a wired connection and you should have a wireless card too. That's the driver to get. www.dell.com/.../vostro-1400

It won't let me install any drivers for the Network Ethernet, I cannot install the Broadcom 59xx drivers or the Intel Proset Wireless driver, it says driver not installed invalid parameter and driver install was interrupted try again later.  When you look at the driver list under network it says Broadcom #2 with the Yellow exclamation and Intel Proset Wireless #2 with the yellow exclamation also.  Why does it say #2 ?

I am at a loss, thanks for any help you can give.  Thank you!
