WLAN 1390 on Latitude D620 with XP will not function
I just bought this laptop used and I am having a probelm with getting my machine to recognize the 1390 WLAN card. It recognizes that the card is there but it will not function after I install the drivers. I have even went as far to open the laptop up to make sure that it is indeed there. The switch on the side of the machine is forward and I am lost. I am running XP Professional. I have searched other forums and have come up with no solutions to this problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

jlijoi,

Did you happen to install XP Professional on the computer? If so, did you install the desktop/notebook system utility and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order
