Which wireless card should I use?

I have a Inspiron 600m with Intel centrino processor and Intel 2915 wireless card built in.My question is do I need to use this wireless card or would I be better off using an external one.My current wireless router is from NetGear. Also are there any benefits to using one over the other?

The Netgear router I have is capable of speeds of 108 mbps as long as I use the right wireless card.

Please tell me the pro's and con's.

Thank You

Well, if you use a 108mbps netgear external card, you should receive faster interent speeds on your laptop. I have a Belkin MIMO 108mbps router and I have noticed that the external Belkin MIMO card goes faster than my built in. The downside is that the netgear external card costs $59.99. http://www.buynetgear.com/product.asp?sku=2408753

Just to point out a common misconception.   I know of no broadband internet speeds that are faster than 54 Mbps, the standard 802.11 g speeds.  In fact, the fastest speed I have ever seen advertised is 16 Mbps.  Thus having a network card that runs at 108 Mbps will not under any circumstances give you faster internet speeds.   The only advantage to having a 108 Mbps wireless network adpater is if you are frequently transferring large files between computers on your local network.  Please stop spreading the myth that you can acheive higher internet speeds with these 108 Mbps cards.  Internet speeds are controlled by cable and dsl providers!
