Windows 10 and Broadcom Virtual Wireless Adapter
The Get Win 10 app tell me that my Broadcom Virtual Wireless Adapter will no support Windows 10 and I may not be able to connect to the internet and I need to upgrade the driver. I have the most recent driver which is version 5.60.48.18.
This is for a Dell Studio 1557 with a Dell Wireless 1520 Wireless -N LAN card.
So will it work or not or should I just not upgrade to Windows 10?

I`m from japan. I'd like to report my result.
I had a same problem, but I installed win10 to my DELL INSPIRON N5010 with courage.
Then no problem happened to access to the internet with WiFi.
After I confirmed that I could connect the internet with wire, though,,,,

As a point of interest, the Broadcom adapter is a virtual one which means it does not exist in real time. It is unnecessary to connect to the Internet and a Win10 replacement is unnecessary.

I learned this on another forum. Disappointing that Dell never responded to me with an explanation, even though they were barraging me with sales pitches.

Hi, I have the same issue and I am no sure if I should upgrade to windows 10. I have a Dell inspiron N5010 too. Did the Wi-Fi work after you upgraded? did you find a driver?

My Dell N7010 (now 5 years old) made the upgrade to WIndows 10 without any difficulty. I would have no difficulty in recommending the make based on that experience, or even getting another if (should I say when?) this one reaches the end of its very useful life.

MAN... I bought an alinware mx15 that has this virtual driver and I am stuck too. Any work around would be helpful. I will not buy another dell product ever unless I get an answer, any answer will do.
