Wireless Connection Problem

Question

I have a 5 year old Dell Studio 1458 laptop.  All of a sudden it won't connect to the wifi.  My desktop is not having a problem nor are our two iPhones and my Nook tablet.  I'm puzzled as to what can cause this problem and how to resolve it.  The laptop has not been moved from it's current location in months.  HELP.
