Have you downloaded and installed the newest firmware for the wireless router? . . firmware can make a big difference in how well wireless works

Simpswr... Yes I downloaded and installed the newest firmware recently, but that had no effect. The odd thing about how my connection drops me is that its always more noticable while on AOL. Only because when I get dropped AOL restarts its self.
I have disconnected the router and went right from the modem to my computer and this still happens. I tend to wonder if there is a glitch with my Adelphia connection that momentary drops the signal. I have read that if your cable signal is either to strong or to weak it can drop your connection. Anyone else ever hear of this?? or have any idea as to what more I can try?
This is getting to be a real pain

Your cable company can check the line voltage from their office . . I'd give them a call and have them troubleshoot it.  They will want you to hook the modem directly to the pc . . they will not usually help with a router, but the router does not seem to be your issue.
