Wireless and Livebox in France

I bought a Dell Inspiron 1300 notebook computer so that I could use it in both England and France. It has built in wireless (IntelProWireless 2200 802.11b/g Mini PC1 Wireless LAN Card). It has the McAfee antivirus package. When I was in England I was able to connect to the internet. When I went to France I installed Livebox (Orange/Wanadoo) so that I could get ADSL. The instructions for this required uninstalling McAfee. I installed Livebox selecting the wireless option (using the USB Wi-Fi adaptor). During the installation process I remember that the computer (not Livebox installation) came up with a message asking if I wanted the computer to recognise a new network. I chose to ignore this since it was not part of the Livebox installation and I thought if I agreed to let the computer recognise it, it might interfere with the installation process. Livebox appeared to have been installed correctly – the check boxes included at the end of the process were all ticked. When I tried to go on line it disconnected and I was stuck with that situation. Later I tried connecting using the appropriate wire. I was then able to connect. I reinstalled McAfee. Then it disconnected again. I uninstalled McAfee again and tried to connect. This worked. So I was able to connect with a wire (when I had installed using the wireless version with USB adaptor) but was unable to use McAfee anti-virus. Clearly this was not an acceptable situation. I then returned to England and have the Orange/Livebox installation and need to get the computer to recognise my original (in England) wireless connection.

Three questions arise from this account. 1. How do I get the computer to recognise my original (in England) wireless connection? 2. How do I overcome the problem I had in France to make the Orange/Livebox work (as it should) with my wireless card? 3. How do I get the computer to recognise both my set up in England and the Orange/Livebox set up in France?
