Wireless connection issue on inspiron 1525

I would really appreciate any help with this, it has been driving me crazy! My wireless has decided to stop working.. I have a INSPIRON 1525 and to turn wireless on there is a switch on the side. This used to work fine, but now when I switch it to 'on' either nothing at all happens (won't find wireless networks, said it is not switched on, light does not turn on) or it will switch on for a second and turn itself off again. Any suggestions?

I regret diagnostics would be of no help here.

Useless to verify that the hardware is working?

Hi,

I regret diagnostics would be of no help here.

Please check the status for the wireless on the system by following this path

Start>>Control Panel>>Windows Mobility Center

You can also use an Dell uliltiy for the same known as Quickset, if you have that installed.

Try following combinations for turning on the wireless on the system.

Hold down FN and then press F2 or just the F2 alone.

FYI

Your system Inspiron 1525 does not have a wireless switch, this option was introduced in Studio system and in later Inspiron series as well

Reboot and run Dell Diagnostics F12.
