Wireless internet connection fails
My System: Dell Dimension 8400; Pentium 4 3.2 gHz, 1gb Ram, HD 160x2, 1394 Net Adapter, Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller.
I wanted to go wireless to connect my Wifi compatible HP laptop and Dell desktop (non WiFi) to the internet (broadband). Since my internet provider had already supplied me with with a wired modem/router, I was told I needed a Wireless Access Point, not another wireless modem/router. I bought a D-Link DWL-2100AP Access Point (802.11g, WiFi certified b/g, 108mbps) along with a D-Link AirPlusG DWl-G122 USB (USB 2.0, WiFi b/g, 54mbps) adapter for my Dell desktop.
MY PROBLEM: Dell's internet connection fails often and I cannot reconnect except by rebooting the PC. This often happens when making international Voip telephone calls or streaming videos online. There is no such problem with my HP laptop as one can easily reconnect.
How could I have a fail-safe wireless internet connection for my Dell PC? Please help!
