XPS Gen 2 and D Link Router

Hello,

I just got my new XPS Gen2 with the intel 1000 network card and everytime after bootup I have to disconnect and connect my lan cable between the 2 to make it work or wait 5-10 minutes to connect on its' own.

I have tried all the suggestions posted on this forum with no luck. Some postings are still open.

Does anybody have any ideas besides calling Dell XPS dedicated support line?

Thanks

Cody,

Thanks..what should the properties be? I have manually changed to 100/full duplex with the same results

As far as the router, I don't have that problem with my old computer which I still have connected to the router.

Thanks

Enter the properties of your Intel Gigabit Adapter, and try hard-setting the speed and duplex to match the maximum speed and duplex capability of your router. If that does not work, you may want to try placing a switch between your computer and the router. If the computer links properly with the switch, the problem may lie within the router itself.
