XPS m1530 Problem with ethernet

Hi,

I own an XPS m1530 running Vista. Recently I've noticed that my I am unable to connect to the internet via my ethernet cable. My wireless internet is fine. I have tried different cables that I know to work, so it must have something to do with my computer. I've tried reinstalling my ethernet controller driver - Marvell 88E8040 10/100 Ethernet Controller from this website,

but that hasn't worked either. Any suggestions as to what my problem may be and how I can fix it?

Thanks
