Hi CLINNYY,

Please be assured we will take care of the issue for you and get it resolved to your satisfaction.

Please tell me the exact problem that you are facing with the computer. Also, I need to check the wireless card shipped with your computer. Alienware X51 is shipped with following three wireless cards:

• Integrated 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi Wireless

• Dell DW1502 802.11 b/g/n

• Dell DW1503 802.11 b/g/n

You can check the one shipped with your computer from the ‘Device Manager’.

You can access ‘Device Manager’ by following steps:

Right-click on Computer  click Manage  then click Device Manager.

Click on the arrow/plus sign in front of the network adaptors. Let me know the wireless card you see there; it should be either of the above.

You can also refer to the link : http://dell.to/fUXsNP on the support site, which will provide step by step instructions basis the operating system installed on your computer system. Please refer to the Web Article ID: 420860  on our support website www.support.dell.com.

I am sending you a private message. Please reply with the service tag of your computer, so that I can check the system specifications of your computer.

Glad to help.

X51 launched in January of 2012 and currently supports DW1502 and DW1506 mini-cards.

In addition, if you place a call to support they can arrange an on-site antenna replacement that should address your wi-fi signal issues.

If I wanted to upgrade the DW1502 card for a better one in the market, could you recommend a good and compatible one?. Currently I have heard some users have replaced it by:

www.amazon.com/.../ref=sr_1_1

They mentioned their connection improved considerably.

Thanks!
