Do you get any site?  e.g. do you get your ISP's home page?   If you get ANY site then your PC is working and it could be an issue with your ISP.

Can you get e-mail?

Do you have a firewall installed? and if you do, are you allowing your browser to access the web?

What ISP do you have?

No.  On that computer we get no sites what so ever.  No, not even the isp's web page loads.  No we cannot access e-mail.

No, no firewall installed.

We have an ISP that is provided by my mom's school.  It's local and for teachers and their families.

We only started having this problem when my brother was attempting to manually removed worms from the computer.  I told him to wait and let me do it but he wouldn't.

Anyway, he ended up throwing ALL the rnaapp files in the recycle bin.  Fortunately, he realized that was the files supporting the internet conncection before he emptied the recycle bin because we couldn't connect to the net at all.  But instead of right clicking and restoring the files he simply pulled them out onto the desktop.  I looked online on my computer and found that rnaapp.cnt, rnaapp.chm, & rnaapp.hlp all go in C;\Windows\Help       And rnaapp.exe went into C:\Windows\System

However, two files were left that I did not know where they went and could not find anything telling where they go.  rnaapp.chw & rnaapp.gid    so I just made a copy of both and put one set of copies in the Windows\help folder and the other set in Windows\System folder.  After that we could connect to the net but we are still unable to access any type of web page.  I am guessing it has something to do with those files but then again maybe my brother deleted some other type of file that was needed.  I do not know.

Any ideas?

Thanx for your time.
