connecting to SBC dsl

Help.  I am trying to connect my dell latitude laptop with TrueMobile 1150 wireless card to my SBC wireless dsl.  I have a 2wire brand gateway.  SBC wants to sell the 2wire card, so they told me they didn't think I could use the TrueMobile card .... but they weren't sure.    Anyone know how to set this up without buying a new card?

Sure, buy a wireless 802.11b router!  You're going to have to spend money to go wireless.  You didn't state your notebook, but all newer models (4100, 4150, 8200, 8500, all present models) have a built in ethernet port, so you could go wired.
