how to activate Bluetooth using wireless switch on dell inspiron 3542

I am also having trouble with my Dell Inspiron 3137. After windows 8.1 was installed, there was no option to turn on wireless.  The button will only turn on/off airplane mode.  The wireless device appears to be enabled, but I cannot turn it on.

Same here, the button on screen is gray and can't be turned on.  I reinstall the driver and the option to turn the blutooth on is not there anymore.  The keyboard key juste turn the airplane on and off. Self diagnostic Tools says everything is ok.  The Bluetooth detection Tools says Bluetooth not in the available.  It worked las week... Inspiron 15 3541.  Please help. Thank you

I ALSO HAVE INSPIRON 3542 AND THIS DRIVER IS NOT INSTALLING. IT SAYS INSTALLATION UNSUCCESSFUL

i have win 8 and tried to install the driver but still the problem is there.

i install windows 7 64bit on my dell inspiron 3542. but wifi adapter not detected. when i purchase this system then by default windows 8.1 64bit is installed in it and wifi is working but now i install windows 7 64 bits but all other drivers working except wifi. because wifi adapter is not also shown in device manager. please tell me the solution.
