'Operating system language' conflict when installing laptop utility driver

Hello all - I'm writing from Spain. I'm new to the Community, so pardon any newbie faux paus. I'm in the process of reviving an Inspiron 6000 that suffered irreparable hard drive failure earlier this year. I've installed a new disc and reinstalled Windows XP. Prredictably, the wireless doesn't work. I've downloaded all the drivers, thanks to the information on this page, and in these forums, tips from PudgyOne, etc. All of that has been very helpful. The problem comes when I try to install the laptop utility (the first one in importance, according to PudgyOne). The file is R120775. It 'unzips' alright, but when it begins to run, an error message comes up stating,in Spanish, 'The language of your Operating System does not match the supported langugages of this software  release. Please try the release the corresponds to your Operating System language.' Again, I live in Spain and presumably, the program is detecting that my copy of Windows XP is a Spanish one. In the the 'nameplate' that comes up when the program begins  entitled 'Dell Notebook System Software Utility' it says 'Windows XP - English'. I've changed everything in the regional configuration to English and even eliminated the Spanish languages from the list.  I still get the same message, only now in English. I think the solution may be to get the Spanish version of the software utility or figure out a way to make my Spanish version look like an English one for the installation of the program. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi I downloaded a older version of the driver and suddenly it worked I have a swedish win XP version and i got the same error message as you BR /Mats
