Can I use a USB-Ethernet adapter to get online ... my internet port is bad I would like to know if this is possible

You can't use etherent for a dialup connection.  You need a dialup modem.  Does your computer have a modem in it?   Steve

I was online with dial up before the port on the motherboard went bad, instead of repairing I went wireless, just want to get online out of town,, wired or wireless

A USB ethernet adapter should work the same as an ethernet adapter.  But, you haven't said what kind of connection you have, so it's difficult to give a 100% sure answer. Steve

Thanks for replying I have a laptop and the internet port went bad, too expensive to repair, so I went wireless,, but Ineed to tap puter out of town, and would like to be able to dial up out of town, that is why I would like to use the adapter to get online dial up
