using the WAN port

I currently have a NETGEAR router (WPN824) that is hooked up to my cable modem and is the DHCP server device. I have two other spare routers (A Dlink DI-624 & NETGEAR WGR624) that I have basically converted into switches/access points and are in turn connected to the main NETGEAR router (WPN824).

Is there anyway I can use the spare router's WAN ports to make a connection between them all? This way I could have 10 ports available instead of 8. I know its probably easier to just add a cheap 8 port switch, but was curious about this method

I am aware of a way to do this on linksys wrt routers using dd-wrt firmware to reconfigure wan to lan port,  but not other brands.  Really, easiest thing is to just get a cheap switch when they go on sale.

On the other devices:

Turn off the DHCP function, give them a Static IP Address within the scope of the main router and now you can have what you wanted.

Connect the other device to the main via the switch side ports, do not use the WAN port.
