wifi problems

Help please. I am new to forum and not very good with understanding the technical side of computers. I have recently purchased an inspiron 1545 laptop which works fine at home in England. However I have an apartment on a large community in Spain and when I travel over to Spain I can not connect to community wifi in apartment or on patio. I am located appx 100ms from antenna and am out of sight, being obscured by another apartment block. If I go down to pool area where nearest antenna is located I pick up a good signal and can connect to ineternet without any problems. Can anyone suggest how I can improve signal strength in the apartment. Or any other solution to get me connected. regards Ray

Go to Control Panel, Regional Settings, then in the LOCATION area change the country name to spain. Different countries have different frequency specifications for wireless.  Hope it helps. Saeed
