wireless adapter "code 10"

so i had my wireless connection runing on my old computer fine but when i tried to put it on my new one it won't work. i have installed the software and plugged it in but it isnt reading. the light on the usb card is on but the computer isnt reading it at all. when i try to install it from: control panel>add new hardware it tells me that the hardware is installed but it cannot start because of a "code 10" error. any help would be appreciated.

It would be useful to know which model computer this is, which version of Windows is running on it, and the make and model of the wireless network adapter.

Which model Dell computer?  Which model Belkin wireless adapter?  Details may be important.

Is your version of Windows upgarded to Service Pack 2?  I can't search the Belkin support site without knowing the exact model number of the wireless network adapter.

It may be worth the pain and suffering to just go out and spend the $30 necessary to replace the network adapter.

replace it? it was working fine one minute and the next it wasnt (after i switched which computer it was on) wouldnt that point to the computer, not the adapter?
