wireless showing off and its fed

 hello please help me out, my dell laptop inspiron  is showing wireless is turned off and its fed.. before i was using OS windows 8 but still it was showing the same problem i can not turn on my wireless then i up graded to windows 10 its still showing wireless turned off.. i tried pressing the wireless function key it does not show any thing.. what could be the problem

At the link below is information for setting up you wireless network in Windows 10. To turn the WIFI on in Windows 10 you would follow the steps below .

Dell Networking and Wireless Support for Windows 10

Turning WIFI on in Windows 10:

  1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Settings. (If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Settings.)
  2. Tap or click the wireless network icon ( ).
  3. Make sure Airplane mode is set to Off.
