Battery Replacement - Inspiron 2200

I have a 3 1/2 yr old Inspiron 2200 and it seems like the battery won't hold a charge for very long.  For example, I had it on the charger all last night and today, so it should have had a full charge.  I start using it for wireless web surfing, and it's down to 2% within 30 minutes.  So, I'm thinking it's time for a new battery.

Which to use, though?  The original is a Ni-MH, 9.6V, 4500mAh, Type P5413.  Trying to find a replacement takes me to a Dell #312-046 Li-Ion, 14.8V.  So, my question is, will there be conflicts using a battery with a different voltage in my Inspiron?

Thanks

Kevin

A quick google search for Inspiron 2200 battery reveals 14.8 volt to be the standard LI-Ion battery, typically for much less than Dell charges.

Page 87 of the manual does state 9.6V for Ni-MH and 14.9V for Li-Ion is correct.

Thanks!  I missed reading that in the manual!
