Dell ordering process?

I ordered a new Vostro last week and had a question on their production.  My order was in the build stage according to their 1 800 number.  But then it switch to saying "order is currently being processed."  What does that mean?  according to the website that is the stage before building.  But it was in the build stage for a week prior.  Does that mean my order never went anywhere?
