International Tag Transfer

Question

I am getting upset by this problem. I am having problem to activate my warranty and this does not bode me well. I bought a Studio Laptop in Malaysia. But the day after, I flew to United Kingdom. I bought a warranty through Dell company UK and that's settled. However, the warranty is yet to be associated with my service tag!! The Dell UK can't help me with this as the service tag is Malaysia based. I have to ask for a transfer of international service tag from Dell. Miraculously, there are no means of communication with the Dell Malaysia when you are abroad! The dell 1 800 number is useless. Every time you wish to contact them (email, call, chat) you need to have a valid warranty. So basically, I need to have a warranty to activate a warranty - thus I am screwed! Can anyone help me?? how do I request for and international tag transfer. I am afraid the stress might reduce me to tears.. p/s: I have transferred my laptop ownership to internationally. I am from Malaysia but currently studying in the UK

Aliff87,   I know service tags sometimes takes a week or two to rcognize the service tag for your computer.   International Ownership Transfer Form     Rick

thanks for your reply. i bought my warranty and gave their my service tag no on january 3rd and got the invoice that same day. i really hope that u r right! its nearly two weeks now, hopefully all will be settled soon.

i've successfully transferred my ownership internationally so thats not a problem now. somehow service tag is not linked with that :(.
