Did you uninstall or just delete the icon on your desktop?

If you ordered a computer with MS Word & you've seen/used it, it's still there. Check the Start --> All Programs menu & look for Microsoft Office. If, as someone else asked, you deleted the icon from the desktop, if you find the program in the menu you can right click on the icon & "Pin to taskbar" or "Send to desktop as shortcut" Thus making it more accessible.

If it came with the computer than reinstall it from the cd you would have gotten with the computer.

Do a search for winword.exe to see if it's still installed on your computer. If it isn't, reinstall from your Word disk. If you didn't get an Office or Works Suite disk, you probably had a trial version that has expired.
