How should I transfer data to my new computer?  Pictures, files, Outlook emails?

Thanks

You could remove the hard drive from the HP, then use an USB adaptor similar to THIS and attach the hard drive to a USB port of the Inspiron 537, to transfer the files and folders you need, to the new PC.

Thanks.  Both are XP.  One computer is HP and the other a new Delll Inspiron 537.

Assuming both PCs have network jacks (RJ45) you can network the two machines with a crossover (cat5) cable.  Then you can share the drive from the old PC.  You then use Windows explorer to move the files.  No fuss, no muss!
