Which laptop or netbook for programming?

Hi, I am a Computer Engineering student and I would like to buy very soon a laptop or netbook that would be nice for programming in a variety of languages such as C, C++, Java eclipse, netbeans, flash.. and more.

Im looking for a system that supports and handles MS Widows XP, and around the prices of £250-£450, and very portable.

I would like to know which screen size and what system requirements are suitable for my needs.

I've done some research and found NetBook like Dell Inspiration mini 10 or laptop Dell Inspiration 15. Could you tell me which one is better and why?

What laptop do you guys recommend for me?

Please reply as soon as possible

Thank you,

Anastasia

There is a "what do I buy" section.  Repost there.  Click Me

The mini 10 has absolutely no features condusive to software development.  Screen is too small, the memory insufficent, and it has limited processor capacity.  Abhout the only good point is the disk is adaquate.  I do use my PCs for Software development  C++ using Microsoft Wisual Studio, and Adobe Flex using Eclipse.  I don't do Java.
