PowerEdge R620 not recognizing new drives
I have a PE R620 being used as an ESXi server. We wanted to add more space so we purchased the H310 controller and 4 new Dell drives, part number Dell 342-5521 - 1.2TB 2.5" SAS 10K 12Gb/s HS Hard Drive. None of the new drives are recognized by the system during boot or as physical drives in the raid controller setup screen. Does anyone have any suggestions to address this? Could it be that they won't work because they are 12Gb/s and not 6Gb/s?

Do the drives have activity lights? How many drives are in the system already?

Having this issue today. R620 does not see these new drives p/n 400-AJPI. Installed two drives on PERC S110 controller. Drives not listed for RAID configuring.
