4+ Month delay to get ONE Optiplex computer?!
What kind of computer company will sell a computer and then delay shipping by over FOUR MONTHS?! The least the could do is offer a similar computer or at the very least, DON'T SELL COMPUTERS THAT YOU CAN"T SHIP!
I've been a Dell customer for my agency for almost 30 years. However, because of how they handled this purchase I will be looking at other companies for our computer needs. There is no excuse for these types of delays. I completely understand that there are a lot of supply issues right now, but they shouldn't accept orders if they're not able to ship them in a timely manner.

Update! I received another email from Dell letting me know that the computer I ordered is no longer available and I should contact a sales rep to place a new order with similar specs. This is by far the worst experience I've had with Dell or pretty much any computer company for that matter. The "new" computer that I ordered has a ship date at the end of January. *IF* I receive that computer, it would have been FIVE MONTHS from the time I ordered my computer until I received it. I wouldn't be surprised if it was delayed for several months again with Dell sending me emails letting me know that the shipment has been delayed again and again.
This entire experience has made me rethink my company's purchasing options and we will definitely be looking at other manufacturers for our business computers and servers.

Most of the orders are delayed due to chip shortage part shortage its a global issue i think... Hope you get ur order soon

Next time order a Ready to Ship model for best shipping time. No customizations allowed so get one the closely fits your needs. Add extras like video card and other extras yourself. That's what I did and received it in less than 48 hours!
