I didn't install my second SSD to a 7010, but one of my OPTIPLEX 9010 motherboards had a unused "SATA 2" Port but no spare power connection! I added a power splitter: "SATA Power 15-pin Y splitter cable adapter male to female for HDD hard drive".
Next I added a 7-pin "SATA male to male cable"... within a few minutes I was formatted, up and running!
